  Michael J. Bouchard II

 

Mr. Bouchard joined Capitol Affairs as legislative aide in September of 2016.

 

Michael is a senior at Michigan State University and is on track to graduate in May 2017 with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science with a minor in Defense Studies and Leadership.

 

Before joining the Capitol Affairs team, he worked on numerous political campaigns across the state and is a Reserve Deputy with the Oakland County Sheriff’s Office. He spent the past summer in London studying the British Parliament and Supreme Court.

 

Before transferring to MSU, Mr. Bouchard played football and lacrosse at Siena Heights University. Upon arrival to Michigan State, he joined the Army ROTC program and has spent two summers at Fort Knox conducting leadership training.

 

Michael is also a brother of the Sigma Chi Fraternity.

 

Mike grew up in Birmingham, Michigan and won the state high school football championship while attending Brother Rice High School.

 

Upon graduation, Mr. Bouchard will be commissioned as a Lieutenant in the United States Army, serving as an infantry platoon leader in the National Guard.
